We will review chapters 8-10: the story, the
vocabulary, the grammar, and the culture. b)
Students should complete the workbook
activities for chapters 8-10. These will be due on the 12th. c)
We will read chapter 11, learn the
vocabulary, and study the genitive case. d)
Exercises 11b, c, d, and e will be completed
for the 13th. e)

We will read chapter 12, learn the
vocabulary, and review the ablative case. h)

vocabulary, begin learning about the imperfect

Latin II-A a) We will review chapters 32-35 and complete the workbook activities – due 11/14. b) The test for chapters 32-35 will be 11/14. c) We will read chapter 36, learn the vocabulary, learn how the Romans wrote dates, and review the use of ‘quam’. d) We will complete exercises 36b, c, and e – due 11/16 e) Workbook activities for 36 (b, c, and d) will be due 11/19. f) Quiz for chapter 36 will be on 11/19. g) We will read chapter 37 and learn the vocabulary. h) Deponent verbs will be the grammar topic for chapter 37. Exercises 37b, c, and e will be due 11/28 as well as the workbook activities. i) Quiz for chapter 37 will be on 11/28. j) We will read chapter 38, learn the vocabulary, and review numbers. k) Exercises 38b, c, and d will be completed as well as the workbook activities – due 11/30. l) We will read chapter 39, learn the vocabulary, and review place and time clues. m) Exercises 39b, c, and d as well as the workbook activities (not 39e) will be due 12/3. LATIN III-A a) We will review Stage 38 and complete the workbook exercises – due 11/12, b) The test for Stage 38 is on 11/12.\ c) We will read Stage 39 which will introduce the students to the poet Ovid. d) We will review word order, the gerundive, and fearing clauses. e) Practicing the Language exercises will be done as well as the Word Study exercises. f) The workbook exercises will be due 11/20. g) We will read Stage 40. h) We will review the indirect statement and the gerund. i) Practicing the Language exercises will be done as well as the Word Study exercises. j) The workbook exercises will be due 12/3. k) We will also be looking at legal Latin and the Roman Law Courts. LATIN IV-H a) We will be finishing the reading of the Aulularia. b) There will be passages to compare from Greek and French literature. c) The test will be 11/28. d) We will then begin the study of the poet Ovid and begin reading selections from The Metamorphoses. AP LATIN LITERATURE a) We will be studying The Amores 1.3, 1.9, 1.11, 1.12, and 3.15. b) We will complete all of the workbook activities. c) There will be quizzes scheduled after each selection. d) The
students will begin the poems of Catullus. |
